Jazeera, I want to deliver this information, I confirmed it personally, on my responsibility. I am a Libyan citizen. Today in Benghazi they discovered a room underground, a room that is completely locked-in. Completely locked. Holding 1500 young men from Benghazi. From the 15th of February the first day of demonstrations to today when they got them out, the 22nd, they had been without food or water. They heard the voices from the barracks, noise, people. After they went to check, they got them out, God be praised, alive. 1500 young men, buried alive, buried alive. Muammar must be obliterated. We will not surrender. Our dead are in heaven, he is in hell. God bear witness that I have delivered this message, if there are any Muslims. God willing.

“1500 young men, buried alive, buried alive. Muammar must be obliterated.”
Between the 2 sentences there is one missing. the lady who is speaking says about kaddafi:
“This guy is a Jew”
If you want freedom, you must forget about censorship!
Thanks for clarifying this for those of us who can’t understand arabic. I really hope this revolution is a secular revolution that helps the people of libya, and not part of a religious war.
This is completely Insane! We would like to see videos and pictures please
Hmmn, yeah, pictures to prove it. Sounds like a big room. Aside from whether it’s true or not, that’s gotta be like 3 on one of the top 5 ways to die list. Did they have any lamps or light at all?
Gaddafi must die for his crimes against humanity. He is Hitler reincarnated. Praise be to God that these young men have been rescued. Gaddafi will rot in Hell for his cruelty and indifference. Long live Libya!
Gaddafi belongs to hell with Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and all the other monsters of the human history.
As a Vietnam Vet I thought I have seen it all…I was wrong!
Horrible, thankfully they are alive.
I must admit though that proof in pictures and videos would be nice. Lots of rumors in internet at the moment.
To all Lybians who have risen against the tyrant, a greeting from Bulgaria!
Seriously, you guys need proof and fast.
Martin Chulov is Guardian reporter in Libya, and has already accused protesters of killing senselessly of army people: http://twitter.com/martinchulov/status/40472693467906048
If he is convinced the killings are because of protesters, the headlines tomorrow won’t be nice.
I don’t think that’s what Martin Chulov’s saying at all. He’s just commenting that as opposed to the uprisings in other countries, the protesters are having to use force, mainly due to the heavily armed attacks from foreign mercenaries.

@yqxo, I’m a Libyan from Benghazi, currently living in the UK. First of all, if what your friend is saying is true, could he please send some proof of it? Everyone’s asking the Libyan’s (who have no internet connection at all in Benghazi) to provide proof for what they’re saying. I think if your friend thinks that the people are causing a blood & guts revolution, he should also provide proof of that.
Secondly, my family live literally across the road from the Fadheel barracks which your friend claims was ruthlessly attacked by the protesters. I called my dad on the 19th of Feb, and he he told me that they were living in fear for their lives. My brother’s flat in the building was destroyed by a heavy artillery weapon fired by the pro-Gadhafi militia’s and mercenaries. The weapon broke through two rooms in the flat, completely destroying it. There were no protesters in the flat, or the whole building, yet they still fired at it. And this heavy weaponry is what they were using against protesters on the street, whom my family informed to me were unarmed.
So please don’t fall into Gadhafi’s lies, and think that the Libyan public is just a violent mob looking for power. You have no idea the fear and oppression we’ve been living in throughout Gadhafi’s rule. Personally I am very happy that the people have finally risen to say enough is enough. Although it does truly sadden that so many lives were lost in this uprising.
Once again like everyone said, Media is unable to publish many news because they need proof, verifications. SO the BIG truth is unable to come out.
As there are still limited ways to pass out videos, pictures from Libya. So lets pass the news only with verifications or else same Media will blame Libyans for false news and will hesitate to publish anything.
Folks in the US are all for you. May God help you remove this crazy dictator.
I am from Britain and wishing you brave Libyan people the strength to rid your country of this dog, Gadaffi.
You must fight for your freedom people,it don’t come easy! America want’s you to be “FREE”
Fight on! You will win with courage in your heart!
Libyan people,
It takes great courage to do what you are doing.
I hope you can persevere through this and rid
your country of Mohammer Ghadaffi. It is time
for Ghadaffi to go. People all over the US are
with you in spirit.
I pray to our Heavenly Father, and want others to know, that Christians’ prayers are with the safety and eventual heal of your citizens, and country. And all of the countries in the Middle East. We pray that God helps you stand and rise above the oppression, and isolation to watch a new day dawn when you are all finally free. Praise God, that he wraps you all in safety. Our prayers are with you.
Why should this come as a surprise ? Kalbdaffi has done it before. He is inhuman. His only interest is money.
May God give the libyan people strength and courage to continue ! May God reward them for their willingness and may God grant them paradise ! Ameen!
Watching what is happening in Libya, far removed here in Canada, I’m moved beyond tears by the strength and courage of the Libyan people. You shine for all the world to see. You are all heroes for standing up to this tyrant. The world is behind you even if we can’t be there. Thanks to the immense courage of the Libyan people Gaddafi the murderer will be brought down soon! May he burn forever in a hell made specially for him!
I wish the Libyans sanity and courage through this hideous mess of evil forces. Don’t let them get your oil. We are sending hope from Glasgow, Scotland.
Words, words, words…lies, lies, lies…Where are photos or videos about news like these ? Ask U.S. for drones in Pakistàn.
so where are these 1500 bodies? still waiting. many reporters in Libya. why haven’t they reported on it? I call BS
Why does everyone need proof that this happened? He’s done other horrible things, why is this completely unbelievable without pictures or a reporter? Reporters bring us the news that their producers tell them to anyway.
It may not be true, but does it being untrue change your views on Ghadaffi at all?
I would hope not.
